15 Security Programs that Work

I have an older computer at home. By older, I mean ancient by this month’s standards, but it gets the job done. The one problem I’ve been having is with the current crop of security software; McAfee, Symantec, etc. Some of these products have become so bloated, they use a good portion of a computer’s resources, making my older computer slow and not much fun to work with.

A recent PC World article “15 free security programs that work” lists some good choices in the security arena. I’ve been using Zone Alarm, Spyware Blaster and Hijack This for several years. I think I’ll install Avast anti-virus and I might try Comodo Firewall on my computer and see if I can replace those bloated old “for profit” programs.

The New Apple iPhone is out, See what C-NET News Crew has to Say

Well the new Apple iPhone is out in local stores and looks like it is a hit so far. I have not had my hands on one but they look really cool! Looks like you can only get them in the Apple store or your local AT&T Wireless Store. I looked at some reviews that other sites have up, here is one from C-NET that I found and had some good video on.
